Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. Almost 4,500 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every year in the UK. Our aims are to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer.
They fund more than 60 research projects at centres of excellence around the UK. These projects are investigating a broad range of childhood cancers – helping us to better understand these diseases and to find more effective, less toxic ways of treating them.
Through investment in research, they are are taking forward our understanding of childhood cancer, to give new insights into ways of treating young patients with even the most difficult forms of cancer. They are working to drive up the survival rate still further by developing more effective curative therapies with fewer toxic side effects.
