The Role

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic InfoSec and System Support Specialist to join our growing IT team in which you will be given exposure to new and exciting technologies and the opportunity for continual development and learning. This is an exciting role in developing systems to support cutting edge technology within the sphere of legal conveyancing systems. Among your key responsibilities will be:

  • Leading implementation and maintenance of ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials across the business.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Develop and enforce information security policies and procedures as Data Protection Officer (DPO).
  • Manage security incidents and coordinate responses to breaches or threats.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with IT, development, and wider business teams to understand security and support needs.
  • Provide technical support for Java web applications and related systems.
  • Identifying and resolving issues reported to the IT Helpdesk, being the first point of contact for system issues.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain web applications.
  • Maintain system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and processes.
  • Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality of work with minimum supervision.

The Individual

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable values and ethics that mirror our own culture values and to be successful in the recruitment process you will need to evidence at least 5 years’ experience of the following in your CV:

  • Proven experience with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials implementation and maintenance.
  • Strong experience of creating business policies and procedures, relating in particular to information security.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR.
  • Strong knowledge of Java web applications and related technologies (e.g., Spring).
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.
  • Knowledge of database systems e.g., SQL / PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with cloud platforms e.g., AWS.
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with others and is seen as ‘approachable’.
  • Good time management adopting a flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
