An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Technical Conveyancing and Digital Learning Author to join our growing IT and Development team.

The Role

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Technical Conveyancing and Digital Learning Author to join our growing IT team in which you will be given exposure to new and exciting technologies. This is an exciting role support the Group IT Director by writing specialist information about products and services we provide, and how they work. You will support the Legal Directors in ensuring that Case Management System processes are documented in our Learning Management System. You will need to understand our products and services and document our system end to end in a way that is easy to understand for others. Among your key responsibilities will be:

  • Documentation: create detailed documentation, including system user guides and training materials.
  • Content Creation: ability to create engaging content such as videos and interactive pages to be used in a variety of environments.
  • Collaboration: work closely with the conveyancing team and other subject matter experts to understand systems whilst noting any needs to translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and integrate training materials and courses into our LMS.
  • Ensure content is engaging, clear, and meets the educational needs of users.
  • Regularly update LMS content to reflect system changes and user feedback.
  • Manage own work allocation, productivity, and quality of work with minimum supervision.

The Individual

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable values and ethics that mirror our own culture values and to be successful in the recruitment process you will need to evidence at least 5 years’ experience of the following in your CV:

  • Conveyancing industry experience as a technical content writer.
  • A strong understanding of case management and Portal (client, introducer, panel management) systems.
  • Previous experience writing documentation and procedural materials for multiple audiences.
  • Proficiency in authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise 360, Canva, and Vimeo or similar tools. Video editing skills are desirable.
  • Experience working with engineering to improve user experience: design, UI, helping to refine content, create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
  • Proficient in Office IT platforms such as Excel, SharePoint, and MS Teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with others and is seen as ‘approachable’.
  • Good time management adopting a flexible approach to work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal – with a keen eye for detail.


  • Professional certification or proven experience in conveyancing or legal practice (preferred).
