About the Role

We are looking for a high-performing Business Development professional to generate new business by promoting and selling residential conveyancing services.  You will build strong relationships with introducers and partners, identify new opportunities, and consistently convert leads into instructions.

On a daily basis this will involve:
  • Developing and delivering a sales/business development plan to generate new conveyancing instructions.
  • Identify, approach and win new introducers (e.g., estate agents, mortgage/finance brokers and other referral partners).
  • Manage and grow existing partner relationships to increase instruction volumes and retention.
  • Present our Convey business clearly, tailoring solutions to partner needs and demonstrating value.
  • Track and report pipeline activity, conversions and performance against targets 
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and excellent partner service.
  • Monitor market activity and competitor propositions to spot opportunities and strengthen the offering.

The Individual


Essential Skills
  • Proven, demonstrable success in sales/business development (B2B), including lead generation and closing.
  • Recent sales experience and contacts in the residential conveyancing industry would be desirable.
  • Established network of contacts within estate agency, broker or introducer channels would be desirable. 
  • Understanding of the conveyancing process, referral models and compliance considerations would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially astute, target-driven and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a pipeline and prioritise effectively.

  • Willingness to travel throughout the country as required to meet potential clients and referral partners.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to generate and process new clients into the Company.  This will be achieved through nurturing relationships with our existing introducers and direct business clients.   

You will be the first point of contact for clients referred to us by our partners and our direct clients. You will play a key role in guiding clients through the initial stages of their journey, collecting essential information, compliance checks, and preparing their case for the next steps.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on client interaction, takes ownership of their work, and is solutions driven. While predominantly focused on making outbound calls to clients referred to us by our partners, the role also involves handling inbound enquiries, so flexibility and responsiveness are key. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, able to work independently using their own initiative, and motivated to drive results while managing multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.

On a daily basis this will involve:

  • Providing outstanding customer service to generate quotes on new business leads over the telephone or online.
  • Collecting and verifying client information and setting up new clients accurately in the case management system.
  • Explaining the onboarding process to new clients in a clear and reassuring way
  • Reporting all sales activities in our CRM system.
  • Understanding the needs and potential challenges prospective clients may have and advise them accordingly whilst overcoming objections and looking for opportunities to maximise sales revenue.
  • Efficiency managing inbound calls, emails and queries from clients, introducers and other partners ensuring all SLA’s are adhered to and met.   
  • Contribute to the overall success of the New Business Team by achieving individual and team targets and KPIs.
  • Proactively liaise with internal departments to ensure that quotes are in line with current agreements and risk models.
  • Ensure that all leads are regularly followed up and accurately recorded in line with business protocols.
