Managing Director of Convey Law appointed as first ever “Corporate Ambassador” of Welsh Children’s Hospice

Lloyd Davies, Managing Director of Convey Law, has been appointed as Welsh children’s hospice Tŷ-Hafan’s first ever “Corporate Ambassador”.  

Mr Davies was honoured with the title in recognition of Convey Law’s support over the last four years. 

South Wales-based Convey Law, one of the largest specialist conveyancing companies in the UK, has donated an incredible £150,000 to the hospice in Sully near Cardiff since it launched its pioneering Charity Lotto. 

The Charity Lotto offers clients the opportunity to win £500 towards their conveyancing legal fees by donating £10 at the end of their transaction.  

Staff at Convey Law have also raised funds for Tŷ-Hafan through monthly dress down days, cake sales and parties as well as sponsoring and taking part in numerous hospice-run events including the Midnight Sleep Walk, the Taff Trail Cycle and the Rainbow Run. 

As a Tŷ-Hafan Corporate Ambassador, Mr Davies will now be tasked with encouraging other businesses and associations to follow in his footsteps in supporting and promoting the invaluable work that is undertaken at the hospice.  

He also joins a select group of Tŷ-Hafan ‘Family’, ‘Charity’ and ‘Celebrity’ Ambassadors including Welsh rugby star Leigh Halfpenny. 

Tŷ-Hafan provides expert care, support and short break care for life-limited children, young people and their families from across Wales. The hospice requires £3.7million annually to function and relies heavily on the donations of its supporters, receiving just 4% of its budget from government funding. 

Last week, Mr Davies visited Tŷ-Hafan as part of their Children’s Hospice Week and commented:  

“I am honoured to be in this position and to be able to work with Tŷ-Hafan. Working with the hospice is a fantastic and eye-opening experience. The work they do is nothing short of wonderful and to be able to support them in whatever way possible is a privilege. 

“I would like to thank everyone at Convey Law and Monmouth RFC for their hard work in supporting Tŷ Hafan as their chosen charity. I look forward to working with other businesses, clubs and institutions that are keen to support and raise awareness for Tŷ Hafan.”
